Leadership: 3 Key Lessons

  1. Courageous – I feel like being a leader, you have to have courage. Because you are going to make some decisions that you feel are right and others may not like the decisions you made.
  2. Dedication – Being dedicated and committed to anything shows that whatever task you have, that you are willing to get it done. Or if you had a goal, you have the will to accomplish that goal.
  3. Trust – Being able to trust is a skill that a great leader has. Means they are trusted to get a certain task done and means that they are dependable.

What does it mean to be a Chickasaw?

What does it mean to be Chickasaw? It means that I am a hard worker, I am dedicated, I am respectful and I want what’s best for others. Means I am willing to help others in need. And  what I mean by this, is that the Chickasaw Nation has done so much for their people. By funding students college tuition, and by giving Chickasaw citizens free health care, youth camps, and housing to all Chickasaw citizens. So by then, I am not only representing myself, I am representing my tribe. And so, I believe it means a lot to be Chickasaw because of their background and what they do for their people.
